The medusa cnidarian form is that of the jellyfish.

Note that many cnidarians alternate between medusa and polyp forms, with the medusa form the sexual phase. This is not alternation of generations, however, since both forms are diploid animals with the medusa form generated asexually and the polyp form generated sexually.
