Science is a way of discovery, which happens to represent the most efficient manner we know of to come to better understand the workings of the physical universe.

The goal of viewing the presented videos is to gain an appreciation of what doing science involves including from the perspective of philosophy.

A video that asks and then does a fair job of answer the question, What is science? Though, actually, science can address the question, What is love, jealousy, and morality. Or at least can help to address these questions…

OK, this video has physics emphasis rather than biological, and that's OK! This, btw, is Richard Feynman

This video talks about what science is all about from a (much) more philosophical perspective, emphasizing Karl Popper and his ideas.

This video has both a physics and a biological emphasis. I recommend watching through 50 minutes or so, which is when the question and answer session begins.

The above video provides a bit of propaganda for why it is that it make sense for everyone to have some sense of what science is all about.

An example of science gone horribly wrong (and/or a little Monty Python just for the heck of it).
