Klinokinesis

Randomly oriented movement that nonetheless gives rise, via variation in rates of change of direction, to movement towards or away from a specific target.

See similarly taxis, chemotaxis, and phototaxis. See by contrast orthokinesis and thigmokinesis in which directed variation occurs as a consequence of variation in speed of movement.
