By bulk sequencing I mean generally of entire genomes in one or a limited number of rounds of sequencing so that an approximation of the entire sequence of an organism is determined. That sequence is then "notated" using bioinformatic approaches and computers.
The result literally are hypotheses about the location of genes, location of regulatory sequences, and various facets of chromosome architecture.
